I am a Nigerian academic and medical doctor specializing in Clinical Anatomy and Biomedical Anthropology, with over three decades of experience in teaching, research, and university administration. I assumed office in December 2025 as the 8th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja (Yakubu Gowon University) after a rigorous appointment process by the 11th Governing Council.
I previously served as the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the Nigerian British University and held senior leadership roles, including Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic). I hold advanced medical and academic qualifications from the University of Port Harcourt and the University of London, have authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, supervised numerous researchers, and hold a Federal Government patent.
My leadership philosophy is grounded in collaboration, transparency, academic excellence, and inclusive stakeholder engagement.
